The Washougal Studio Artists Tour began in 2018 with its first organized tour, made possible through funding by the City of Washougal using resources collected from City Lodging Taxes. This annual event was initially founded by Angela Ridgefield, a talented metal artist with a passion for bringing artists and art lovers together. Although Angela has since moved out of the Pacific Northwest, her vision for the tour lives on.

Today, the Washougal Studio Artists is managed by a dedicated steering committee of local artists who are committed to keeping this vibrant tradition alive. Held twice a year in the spring and fall, the tour offers art enthusiasts a unique opportunity to visit and explore a wide variety of artist studios within a 10-15 mile radius of the scenic Washougal River Gorge area. This immersive experience allows visitors to witness artists at work, learn about their creative processes, and connect directly with the creators of handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces.

The tour showcases an eclectic mix of art forms, including painting, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, textiles, and more, reflecting the incredible diversity of talent in the Washougal art community. Visitors are invited to enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty of the Washougal area while discovering unique treasures and supporting local artists.
