Ellen Nordgren

Not being particularly artistic my whole life, in 2007 my sister Sue, an artist, passed away from cancer, and I was inexplicably compelled to paint.  I took watercolor classes for several years, moved on to acrylic, then oil, and now mainly paint with oil & coldwax medium.  I love the textures and excavation the medium offers.  My artistic journey has helped me deal with my many emotions around love, loss, life and healing.
